In January, David Moran gave a well-received presentation to the Club about the Innocence Clinic at the University of Michigan Law School. He co-founded it with Bridget McCormick, now the Chief Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court, in 2009 to investigate and litigate prisoner claims of actual innocence that are not based on DNA evidence. Most of its cases rest on flawed forensic evidence or mistaken eyewitness identification. Following Professor Moran’s talk in January, many Club members expressed interest in hearing more about the Clinic. He will be speaking at the Osher Life-Long Learning Institute [OLLI] on Tuesday, November 12, at Towsley Auditorium at Washtenaw Community College. His talk begins at 10:00, and there is a nominal charge for non-members of OLLI. Click here for more information: https://events.umich.edu/event/65433
