2026 Membership Survey

In 2026, Rotarian Rona Hu proposed that the Club collaborate with the U-M Institute of Social Research (ISR) on a membership survey. The Michigan Program in Survey and Data Science Design Seminar Class, led by professors Mike Traugott and Mike Elliot, would guide the project with second year Master’s students, Kevin Linares, Nicholas Reign Lugu, Doris Odei, and Thomas Edward Van Green, and Grace DesJardins. John White, Rona Hu, and RCAA leadership met with the students to provide an overview of goals with the survey; shared a past survey; and worked with the team to make edits and develop a comprehensive tool.

In April, the students presented a final survey, and it was distributed to our membership. Over half of the club (103 members) took the survey, producing substantial input on many facets of the Club to consolidate, prioritize, and incorporate into the Club’s strategic plan and operational initiatives.

The ISR class provided a comprehensive report that is archived in Club Runner and accessible to our members.

Many thanks to the survey committee (Rona Hu, John White, MJ Raab) and the ISR students for their collaboration and hard work to support the Club’s annual survey process.
