Strategic Plan 2025-2028

In the fall of 2024, the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor conducted strategic planning sessions. The planning sessions were the first phase of a four-phase process (analysis of current club landscape; developing a vision statement; setting goals and priorities; implementation including communication, and progress updates) in creating a strategic plan that reflects the goals of the club and embraces the priorities of Rotary International.

The sessions, with over 50% of the club participating, explored the current landscape of the club, identifying critical issues that exist and that could be affecting operations and current initiatives. The group then worked through a SWOT analysis, listing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

In early 2025, the club developed a vision/purpose statement and set goals and priorities within the framework of Rotary International’s Action Plan. The RCAA identified goals within each of the four areas of the action plan: Increase our Impact; Expand our Reach; Enhance Participant Engagement; and Increase Our Ability to Adapt. As the Club continues to prioritize and work on the goals developed, quarterly updates will be provided, and the dashboard will reflect relevant updates.

Strategic Plan Succession Structure

Each year the plan will be refined, and the incoming president will align their priorities with the plan. The Immediate Past President, as work group lead, will ensure continuity across leadership transitions; facilitate quarterly strategy meetings; maintain continuity and institutional memory; and oversee progress tracking and reporting (including updates for the Club).
