Hey ROTARIANS: When you are ready to change out your kitchen stove, hot water heater or HVAC systems, or improve your home insulation, you can go Green AND save money.
There is no longer a “Green Premium” for climate conscious actions, but market prices are coming down anyway. AND there are also rebates available locally. You can apply for Ann Arbor’s heat pump rebate of $4,000-$5,500 along with a rebate for ductwork modifications where necessary for $1,500-$2,500. Approximately 10% of new HVAC installations in Ann Arbor are now heat pumps! Are you ready for an induction range? Induction cooking is fun anyway, but 147 rebates have been awarded to A2 citizens for induction stoves.
Is your water heater 12 years old or more or showing signs of deterioration? If so, it’s a good time to think about replacement. Ann Arbor is seeing strong heat pump water heater adoption rates, and A2 has $1,000-$2,000 available in rebates to help you make this upgrade, before you face a cold shower in January.
