A total of 121 members were captivated by the presentation from U-M President Mark Schlissel. This turnout was our second highest since moving to Weber’s (the highest was our first meeting there). We did not have any Visiting Rotarians but were joined by 13 guests, two of whom expressed interest in learning more about our club. In conjunction with lunch, a total of 13 Rotarians met in meetings of the Hire MI Vet and Peace Committees.

Monthly Membership Report to the District:
October was Economic and Community Development Month in the Rotary year. We finished the month with 293 Active Members after the conversion of Barbara Bryant, John Debbink and Reno Maccardini to Inactive Emeritus status and the induction of Naren Bhatia, Brendan Chard, Barb Mulay, Beth Nissen, Ron Slagell and Irem Yoruk. Our club also has six Honorary Members and (now) ten Inactive Emeritus members. Average attendance during October was 42% for the five meetings. Not reported to the district but calculated for club use were the averages of 101 Ann Arbor Rotarians and eleven others at our weekly meetings. Our Engagement Ratio for the month was 65%.
