Environmental Education Signage Now at Universal Access Playground

Fun, colorful and educational too!  Six environmental education signs are now designed, fabricated and ready to install at the Universal Access Playground in Gallup Park. This project represents our final contribution to the UAP to celebrate our Centennial.  Sumedh Bahl, Rotary Project Manager, met with representatives of Flutter and Wow and the City of Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation last Tuesday at the Playground to help decide on the location of the signs.  They will be completely installed, set in concrete, accessible and ready for the kids by the end of October.  Very exciting news!

Flutter and Wow researched, designed and oversaw the fabrication of the signs. This is one of five “hands on” interactive signs geared toward kids learning about the environment.
Hillary Hanzel (back to camera), Park Planner and Landscape Architect, was the City’s representative who provided direction, oversight, and approval of the sign design, location, and installation. Rotarian Sumedh Bahl is on her right contemplating a Match Game all about the Huron River.
