On October 15, 2023, ZeroWaste.Org organized the Trash Talk Tour in Ann Arbor, promoting a sustainable and zero-waste lifestyle. Participants saw the University of Michigan Athletics Department’s efforts to recycle and compost at least 90% of waste and visited the Recycling Center where only 12% of materials end up in landfills. Local lawmakers are proposing a law that will make producers responsible for their packaging. Zingerman’s launched a reusable container program and supports the use of compostable, recyclable, and reusable food containers. Let’s continue to work together in creating a sustainable future for everyone.
