Bill McPherson Nominated for RCAA Treasurer

Susan Froelich, Immediate Past President and Chair of the Nominating Committee announced at the March 22nd RCAA Club meeting that the committee has nominated Bill McPherson to be Treasurer of the Club. A vote of the membership will be taken at the March 29th meeting to confirm his nomination. Here is some background information about Bill to help the membership get acquainted with him:

Graduate of Oklahoma State (B.S. Arch. Eng.) and the University of Houston (M.B.A.)

Registered Professional Engineer

Bill worked briefly as a structural engineer and then moved to project management, customer relations, and marketing for a major trade association and for national engineering firms.  Following that, he worked for 23 years at DTE Energy’s non-reg subsidiary here in Ann Arbor as a Project Developer, Director of Development, and Development Engineer.  Projects included energy facilities and alternative fuels for the steel and paper industries.

He is also active with First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor serving multiple times as an elder, project manager for two major capital projects, and leader of a study group for the past 22 years.  Bill has also worked with United Way and the Real Men Wear Pink campaign of the American Cancer Society. He’s been a member of the Ann Arbor Rotary Club since 2016.

A native of Oklahoma and after college a Texas resident, Bill has lived in the Ann Arbor area for 35 years.  He has a significant other, Marcey Terrien; two daughters, and three young grandsons.  His retirement is filled with travel, skiing with Marcey, and golf.
