Ann Lee Hussey Tours Ann Arbor

President Rosemarie Rowney toured Ann Lee Hussey, polio survivor and advocate, around Ann Arbor on Tuesday, October 22nd. She was very interested in our Universal Access Playground in Gallup Park because she wants her club to build one in Maine. They also visited Rackham Auditorium at the University of Michigan, where the initial announcement was made by Thomas Francis, Jr. that the polio vaccine was “safe, effective and potent”.  Ann Lee stood on the stage right where Jonas Salk and Thomas Francis made history. It was an amazing moment then and now.
