Summary of the October 21 Board Meeting

The Board of Director’s Meeting was held on Wednesday, October 21 via Zoom. Club membership on September 30 was 255 Active members, plus six Honorary members and seven Inactive Emeriti. Attendance for the month’s five meetings was 33%. Average attendance at each meeting was 83 members plus 15 others.

Our Engagement Ratio for the month was 55%. The Membership Committee presented the nominations of Kinnari Shah and Elizabeth Trinh as New Members Elect. Their nominations were enthusiastically approved. Three members, Brandon Black, Rick Taylor and Cynthia Wilbanks have left the club.

The Operating Fund Balance on September 30 was $45, 497. The Club’s Endowment Investment market value was $2,370,772, a 2% decrease from August 31.

In Board news, the Board approved the release of accumulated Paul Harris Fellow points for a 1:2 match on the 2020 1-2-3 invoices. The Membership Committee presented an updated Honorary Membership Policy which was approved by the Board. The Public Image Committee presented Policy on Rotary Name and Logo Design and Use which the Board approved. Finally, an Executive Board Policy was presented and passed as amended with two no votes. The Executive Board Policy will be presented to the Membership for approval at the December 2 Annual Assembly.

President Joanne announced that the tentative date for touring the Universal Access Playground new environmental signage is Sunday, November 8. Logistics and final arrangements are pending so check your Harpoon for updates.
