Mark Ouimet, Norma Sarkar and Ashish Sarkar attended the Rotary International Conference in Houston. The International goals align with our club’s goals for this coming year. They are as follows:
- Build membership by involving younger members through the environmental movement.
- Continue to raise money for our foundation in order to continue our work within our community.
- Rotary International has encouraged members to have fun while serving others. If members and their families enjoy the projects they are involved in, family time is not lessened.
Several updated policies were reviewed and approved by the board. They include a) Policy for Working with Youth, b) Policy on Policies, c) Attendance, d) Rotary Cares and e) Guidelines for Speakers and Policy on Politics.
The Registration page is now open for the Golf & Tennis Outing scheduled being held on September 14, 2022. The brochures are ready and will be handed out at the weekly business meetings. Everyone is encouraged to attend and bring any non-Rotarians with you!
Congratulations to President Susan for a fabulous year! This was her final board meeting as President. She will remain on the Board for one more year as Immediate Past President. Many thanks also to Lauren Heinonen, Norma Sarkar and Joanne Pierson for their great service on the board as their terms have officially ended.
