A “Dirty Dozen” of Rotary Road Waste Warriors were once again smiled upon by Senor Sol for the Michigan Department of Transportation Adopt-A-Highway fall trash pickup on Saturday, October 1st. The champions of “Service Above Self” attacked highway blight on the Club’s assigned stretch of I-94 with a tireless choreographed effort that left no unsightly debris behind. 31 bags of trash, car parts, pieces of tires, hubcaps, clothing, masks, a cell phone, wrench, and cash money were collected. Fewer bags collected this fall was attributed to the Club’s participation in the trash pickup for the last two years. The cash money was given to the two Rotaract participants as a donation to their budget.
