Rotarians Celebrate Earth Day with 69 Bags of Trash

Spring 2023 Road Waste Warriors! Dan Romanchik, Dawn Johnson, Dennis Burke, Don Deatrick, Downs Herold, Ed Johnson, Ed Wier, John Sepp, John White, Leo Shedden, Mark Foster, Mark Ouimet, Michael Field, Nishta Bhatia, Norman Herbert, Ray Kelley, Rick Jarzembowski, Roy More, Tom Millard. And U-M Rotaract President Alexandria Galens and Sandy Johnson.

A big thanks goes to the Rotary Road Waste Warriors who spent Saturday morning along I-94 picking up all manner of trash as a part of the Michigan Adopt-A-Highway program. While the weather cooperated to stop raining for the time we were outdoors, the team picked up a record 69 bags of trash, followed by a delicious box lunch provided by the Relish restaurant at the Kensington Hotel. Believe it or not there is still trash along that stretch of highway and Rotarians will be back at it in October for the fall Adopt-A-Highway event. Stay tuned for details of that event.
