Rotarian in the News: Norman Herbert Honored

Our club’s own Norman Herbert was recently honored by the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation (AAACF) for his long and valuable contributions to the Foundation.  For over 23 years Norman served in a variety of volunteer positions including long service guiding the Investment Committee and helping to develop a modern approach to the management of the endowed assets at AAACF.  He also served on the Board of Trustees and served as the Chair of the Board for two years.

In addition to his amazing leadership at AAACF, the Foundation also wanted to recognize Norman for his exemplary service to the broader Washtenaw County nonprofit community, serving in a wide variety of volunteer leadership roles across our community.  His influence in creating a strong, vibrant nonprofit ecosphere in our county stands as an enduring legacy, and represents the best of humanity which we all desire to emulate, even in some small way.

In recognition of all that Norman has done, and continues to do, AAACF created the Norman Herbert Community Service Fund, an unrestricted endowed fund at the Foundation.

Thank you, Norman!
