Dear District 6380 Rotarians,
This is Eileen Heasley from Troy Rotary and co-founder of A Vision for Clean Water. Did you know that according to official tribal tallies, at least 15% of Navajo Nation homes have no running water at all?
At the Troy Rotary Zoom meeting, speaker Meghanlata Gupta will be discussing this and other challenges faced by Native American Communities on July 29th at 11:45 AM.
Meghanlata is the founder of Indigenizing the News, a digital news source dedicated to increasing Indigenous visibility and raising awareness of Native nations, cultures, issues, and knowledge systems.
She is an Anishinaabe student, historian, and journalist from the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
