![]() Long-time Rotarian Larry Eiler was awarded Honorary status by the Ann Arbor Kiwanis Club at their meeting on November 8. Here’s the writeup from their newsletter: “Larry and his late wife, Sandy, helped raise funds to start the Ronald McDonald House at CS Mott Children’s Hospital and would take homemade meals to the families staying there. They had seven children and 13 grandchildren. Larry teaches and counsels classes on recovering from a tragedy after losing Sandy in an accident in 2015. Larry thanked us for this honor and said that he’s known about our Club but had never been involved because he’s been involved in so many other things. He’s been President of the Ann Arbor Economic Development Club for the past 5 years, “mainly because no one else will take the job”. He’s been very involved in the OLLI Organization and has been on the Board of the Ronald McDonald House. He’s also been very active in different churches. He noted that he likes modern communication because he can keep in contact with his kids and grandkids who are as far away as California, Arizona and Georgia.” Congratulations to you, Larry, on this great honor from a venerable sister service club!
