World Polio Day 2025 is now in the books as is our club’s “Pennies for Polio” campaign. Following five weeks of activity plus one additional day for stragglers, we finished with $414.75 in pennies plus $779.10 in other coins, some currency, and a few checks. This $1113.85 total, when matched 2:1 by the Gates Foundation and the $0.60 estimated cost of each dose of vaccine, amounts about 5500 immunizations!

Thanks again to all the 63 individual donors who participated and the entire committee who made it happen. A check from our club will be going to The Rotary Foundation shortly and 244 pounds of coins will be going back into circulation.
