Recently highlighted in Washtenaw Community College’s newspaper “On The Record” are three WCC students who are semifinalists for the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, worth up to $120,000. One of the students, Abdu Kizito — we knew him as “AK” — was a member of the Huron Interact Club and was very involved in Interact leadership for several years. In fact, AK served as the President of Huron Interact during his senior year. Our club also honored him as a Junior Rotarian in 2019.
