Leslie Pinney grew up in the Baltimore area and arrived in Michigan 15 years ago, after the birth of her twins, making her the mother of 4 children under 4.
Prior to that, she earned her BA from Princeton University, then lived in New York City where she became a Tony-nominated Broadway general manager.
In 2017, Leslie graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, after which she clerked for a federal judge before serving as senior counsel at Foley & Lardner.
Recently, Leslie co-founded Launch Legal Advisors, specializing in private funds.
In addition to her career accomplishments, Leslie is a skilled skier, an avid reader, and a wonderful friend and mother who will surely be an asset to our Club as she is to our community.
Mark Schirmer (Sponsors: Mark Foster and Melissa Foster)

Mark grew up in Bloomfield Hills and attended Brother Rice High School before earning a degree in English Literature from DePauw University.
His career has centered around the automotive industry. David E. Davis (the former editor of Car & Driver magazine) was starting a new publication called Automobile magazine. He offered Mark a job which brought him to Ann Arbor. He worked there for 8 years, eventually becoming Senior Editor. He later worked in public relations for Land Rover before returning to Ann Arbor to join Ford Motor Company’s marketing team. During his career with Ford, he spent three years living and working in Hiroshima, Japan with Mazda. Today, Mark serves as Director of Industry Insights and Corporate Communications at Cox Automotive.
Mark and his wife, Tami, will celebrate 35 years of marriage this year. Tami is a math teacher at Rudolf Steiner School, and together they have two sons, Robert and Henry, both of whom have launched successful careers of their own.
Service has always been important to Mark. At First Congregational Church, he has served as Chair of the Board of Trustees, led stewardship efforts, and been a deacon for many years.
Mark is excited to expand his community involvement through Rotary, and he will be a tremendous addition to our club.
