The Club’s Environmental Action Group and the U of M student led non-profit organization Blueprints for Pangaea offered an opportunity for community members to donate new or used medical equipment and supplies Saturday, May 2, 2026 at a local self-storage facility. The event was promoted in the Rotarian Newsletter and online by several social media sites and the Ann Arbor Observer email notice. Turn out was very good. All items will be sent locally and globally by Blueprints for Pangaea to those most in need.
Hundreds of items in the following categories were donated: Mobility Equipment, Braces and Supports, Wound Care and Dressings, Syringes & Injections, Blood Pressure & Vitals Monitoring, Ostomy & Urinary Care, Respiratory, Hygiene & Skin Care, Prep Cleaning & Swabs, Cold/Hot Therapy, Protective Equipment.
Many making donations offered thanks for the opportunity to do so. Questions of when such an event will happen again in the future were also asked of volunteers. Needless to say, due to the success of the event plans are already in place to offer the community another chance to donate next year.
