On Saturday, November 5, 13 members of the RCAA attended the Gala. Attendees were treated to an excellent strolling dinner with a choice of Italian, Mexican, Indian or Chinese cuisine.
The program included a celebratory address by District Foundation Chair, Ashish Sarkar as well as District Awards. Past RI President Barry Rassin gave an interesting and inspiring message about the impactful work that the Rotary Foundation does in local communities and around the world. Barry will be the Chair of the Rotary Foundation for 2023-2024. Barry spent time throughout the evening greeting attendees and posing for photos. Barry also welcomed new members on stage including our own Ugur Cetin.
Finally, attendees were entertained with many Motown tunes as they danced to the music of Denise Davis and the Motor City Sensations. It is important to report that our own Collyer Smith and Joanne Pearson were the first to arrive on the dance floor!
