Look Local to Kick Off Sustainable June

You may think things slow down over the summer. Not so in the environment, and certainly not in Ann Arbor where there are many events to show your care for all things environmental.

June welcomes the third annual celebration of the City of Ann Arbor’s commitment to sustainability, initiated with the A2ZERO Plan of June 2020. Throughout the week from June 4th to June 10th there will be numerous events that feature the City’s progress towards carbon neutrality. So many things to choose from; see all the options at a2gov.org/a2zeroweek.

And there is a very simple thing we could do to reduce our carbon footprint; sign-up to get the e-version of our Rotary magazine. Each of us, I know, is using our tablets, computers, phones to keep up with the news, peruse magazines, read our books. And many of us do so while saying we prefer a print version to read over coffee. So now is an opportunity to ‘fess up, and go paperless for Rotary, our community, our planet.

All you need is your name, address, the name of our club and your Rotary ID number. If you have forgotten your Rotary ID, you can find it on your Rotary Profile on Club Runner. Then go to https://my.rotary.org/en/node/18361 and fill in the form there. Simple. Satisfying.
