Greetings Ann Arbor Rotarians,
As we bid farewell to 2020, or good riddance as the case may be, I would like to take a moment to reflect and look forward. Our Zoom culture has proven to be quite exceptional. The Club’s fundamentals have not been lost even though our contact is remote. We sing we learn, we laugh and we care. As pointed out by President Joanne in our meeting this past week, the Rotary Wheel continues to roll!
The Club’s embrace of technology as our new milieu has been impressive. We do have members who have been reluctant to partake. If you have member-friends that don’t care for Zoom settings, perhaps a suggestion that they join us monthly would be helpful. However, despite those waiting until we meet in person, our attendance figures have been high and consistent.
The future of RCAA meetings will be a hybrid model once we return to the Anderson Room. We will work to make the meetings available to those that want to participate but are unable to join us in person. Once it is completely safe for us to be together, we should all strive to do exactly that – be together! There is nothing better than seeing faces, hearing laughter, and enjoying experiences together in harmony. The Club’s primary devotion will remain its in-person gatherings as long as it is safe. We may modify some things when we resume at the Union to ensure best practices for the safety of our membership.
I do have a Club-wide task that will continue to be promoted this year. I am encouraging all members to sign-in to ClubRunner, our Club’s membership-management software. Once you have signed in with ClubRunner you will have immediate access to member contact information (just like the old paper directory), board minutes, by-laws, and other important Club documents. You can use ClubRunner on your computer and also your smartphone by downloading the ClubRunner app. It is important to remember that this data is not to be shared. This is a private list only for use by our members for CLUB business and communications.

By clicking here https://portal.clubrunner.ca/1404, you will be taken to the ClubRunner site. In the very top right-hand corner, you will see “Member Login.” When you sign in you will use your first name.your last name.1404. As an example bugs.bunny.1404 and your initial password will be 1404. Once you have signed in you will be able to change your password.
