Thank you to all who came to participate in the RCAA River Cleanup at Argo Park on Sunday, September 26th to celebrate World Rivers Day. It was wonderful to work with you and I am looking forward to this becoming an annual (if not 2x a year) event. I also want to thank those of you that volunteered but the change in schedule (rain date) kept you from participating – I hope that you will be able to join us next time.
We ended up having 15 people including 4 University of Michigan Rotaractors. Two huge bags of garbage were collected, which I sorted (landfill and recycling), and thankfully is no longer littering our parks and the Huron river. We not only covered Argo but parts of Bandemere and Longshore Park as well.
