How About a Rotary-related New Year’s Resolution?

While we don’t need many more resolutions to start the new year, the one proposed here doesn’t involve much long-term discipline, peer pressure, or physical exertion. In fact, some percentage of club members are already on board. For the rest, the only commitment you need to make is to sign up for accounts with “My Rotary” and “ClubRunner.” My Rotary is an RI program that gives you access to a wide range of on-line resources like Rotary Club Central, Rotary Showcase, Rotary Ideas, Learning Center, Discussion Groups, and Brand Center. An upcoming article will have details. ClubRunner is our club’s membership database. It has a wealth of features but the centerpiece is the contact information for members readily available on both the web and your smartphone.

According to the to lists obtained by John White, only 25% of our club’s members have My Rotary accounts, compared to about 40% district-wide (well, maybe a little peer pressure here). Likewise, only about a quarter of our members have logged in to ClubRunner. Setting up either or both accounts is straightforward. Contact John White if you want instructions and, perhaps, some hand-holding to get connected for the new year!
