On Friday, September 18, Rotarians and Guests spent a lovely afternoon with Pat Chapman, a Docent for Embracing Our Differences. Pat provided some background information about Embracing Our Differences (EOD) and introduced us to six of the many paintings and original phrases on display. The paintings are all original works created by local artists (children and adults). Many of the phrases were submitted by local students after discussions with their teachers. During the tour, Pat asked for our first impressions of each painting and their phrase. After some discussion, she shared with us the artist’s description of their work. Participants commented that the experience was most interesting and very thought-provoking.
The EOD display will be available until October 18 in Gallup Park. RCAA is a proud sponsor along with many other community groups. You are encouraged to spend a portion of a beautiful Fall Day with these most thought-provoking original art works. Bring your phone and you can use the QR code to read the artist’s description of their work.
