The Rotary Club of Ann Arbor is proud to be a sponsor of the world premiere of the nature/environmental documentary film The Coalition to be shown at the Michigan Theatre on Monday afternoon, September 28th. This film covers the interplay of drug safety and ecosystem stability, along with organizations partnering to further their shared environmental sustainability and climate actions. Learn how a 440-year-million-year-old animal that has survived five extinction events is now being threatened, and what a coalition of scientists, lawyers, activists, bankers, teachers, and biomedical scientists is doing to save it. Check out informational tables and materials in the lobby before the film and an interactive Expert Panel moderated by Tim Cernak of the UM College of Pharmacy including the film makers. Doors open at 3:45 pm and the 20-minute film starts at 4:30 pm. This event is FREE and OPEN to the GENERAL PUBLIC.

This film debut is just one of over 75 events that are part of the University of Michigan’s Second Annual Climate Action Week (UMCW26), which kicks off Saturday, September 26th and runs through Saturday, October 3rd and spans the UM Ann Arbor, Flint, and Dearborn campuses. UMCW26 is promoted as a catalyst for dialogue, innovation, and collective impact, showcasing the bold, interdisciplinary climate solutions emerging from The University of Michigan, the City of Ann Arbor, and communities across Michigan.
