Recently highlighted in Washtenaw Community College’s newspaper “On The Record” are three WCC students who are semifinalists for the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, worth up to $120,000. One of the students, Abdu Kizito — we knew him as “AK” — was a member of the Huron Interact Club and was very involved in Interact leadership for several years. In fact, AK served as the President of Huron Interact during his senior year.
