Attention Rotarians! We have been presented with a new volunteer opportunity with the Ann Arbor Public Schools. The playground at Eberwhite School is being replaced and the community is very involved to assist in the process. The current playground is 30 years old. It is a wonderful structure that was built by the community and is ready for an upgrade for safety as well as accessibility. Below you will see two links, one with a description of the project and the other for volunteer sign-up.
Please look at the volunteer categories. There are some jobs for “sign up” and helping with lunch so not all jobs require physical labor.
We are targeting the mornings of Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18. While you are welcome to sign up for the “skilled” category, I’m assuming most Rotarians will sign up for the “unskilled” category.
NOTE, this is not exclusive to Rotarians! If you have friends, family members or younger people that are willing to help, please encourage them to sign up. Please act promptly to make sure the shift you would like is still available. Also note that you can sign up for lunch as well.
