The Board of Director’s Meeting was held on Wednesday, June 16 via Zoom. Club membership on May 31, 2021 was 253 Active members, plus five members and seven Inactive Emeriti. Attendance for the month’s four meetings was 32%. Average attendance at each meeting was 81 members plus seven others. Our Engagement Ratio for the month was 57%. Members Christie Bacon, Peter Brown, Karen Gladney, Fernando Ortiz, Silvia Pedraza, Susan Westerman, have submitted their resignations.
The Operating Fund Balance on March 31 was $20,631. The Club’s Endowment Investment market value was $2,958,890, a 1% increase from April.
IHPC donated $3000 and RCAA members donated an additional $4,400 for a grand total of $7,400 to support Pune Metro and additional Rotary Clubs in India to operate a 75 bed oxygenated unit at a local hotel to expand access to COVID treatment.
The Peace Pole was installed at Gallup Park on May 19, 2021 and the Peace Committee is planning a celebration on Wednesday, June 30 at Gallup Park. The committee is also exploring a possible District Peace Committee. Volunteers are still needed for the Peace Conference Planning Committee. The Conference is to be held at the Michigan League on March 11-12, 2022. Planning Committee meetings are held every other Friday, contact Marcia Lane for more information.
The Membership Committee will review number of active members in July and review number of resignations, number of new members, transfers, and reinstatement for 2020-2021 as well as number of unpaid dues. This data will help MC make recommendations for 2021-2022 regarding Membership.
The Executive Director is keeping in touch with the Michigan Union as COVID regulations change. As of today, the 25-person limit is still being adhered to so we will continue with our September target for reconvening in the Anderson room. The Ad-hoc Committee for Zoom Hybrid is up and running to prepare us for the production of this type of meeting.
