District 6380 – 100K MASK CHALLENGE – UPDATE

The Rotary Club of Ann Arbor is participating in the District 6380 Mask effort.  The District is in the process of distributing 100,000 masks, both KN95 and surgical masks, directly to front line workers and, to vulnerable populations throughout the district.

Locally, we have distributed more than 1500 face masks from District 6380 to hospitals, senior residences, memory care facilities, nursing homes and the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County (Delonis Center) –all of whom were VERY appreciative.  In addition, we have donated masks to the Washtenaw County Interfaith Council for Immigrant Rights.  WICIR serves a population that is at high risk for multiple reasons.

Providing this type of pro-active service to vulnerable populations helps prevent the spread of COVID-19 which has been so devastating in other places.  Thanks again, to all who have donated.  We are making progress.
