Sad News about Len Stenger

Len Stenger, Past President 2012-13, passed March 14, 2020 at home. He was 76. Len was a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and received the Club’s highest honor, a Distinguished Service Award. Len and his wife, Lois, often spoke of taking part in National Immunization Day (NID) trip – recalling how they gave two drops of polio vaccine to children in India.

Len’s Rotary service dates back to 1987 when he joined the Rotary Club of Granville OH. He transferred to the Briarwood Club upon moving to Ann Arbor in 1995 and joined our club in 2001. Among other responsibilities on his way to becoming our president, he served as Chair of the International Humanitarian Projects Committee and was on the Board of Directors.

There will be a small funeral mass just for family. This will take place at St. Mary’s Student Parish in Ann Arbor at 10am on Wednesday, March 18th. This mass will be live-streamed through Facebook Live on Len’s Facebook page. To watch this video live, and the recording of it later, you must be “friends” with Len’s Facebook account.

There will be a memorial service at a later date to be determined.
