Our board of directors meeting was held on Wednesday, August 17, 2023. On the final day of the month of July our club had 217 Active Members. Attendance for the July’s two meetings was 32% (up 3% from last month). Average attendance at each meeting in July was 71 members and 2 guests. Our Engagement Ratio for the month was 47% (down 3% from last month). Two new members joined our club in July: Alicia Pani and Jordan Setayesh. One member resigned: Heather Eckner.

Our club financial highlights include Foundation total assets of $2,848,456 and Club Operations balance of $94,600 (includes pre-paid dues totaling $70,000).
A committee to build the new slate of officers for the 2024-2025 held its first meeting on August 16th. This committee consists of Mark Foster, Joyce Hunter, Kathy Waugh, Barbara Eichmuller, Joanne Pierson, and Mark Ouimet. If anyone has a nomination to recommend, please contact Mark Ouimet (chair).
The board continues to discuss the cost of the Hybrid Meeting format. Since we are only funded through September, the board needs to determine course of action and how we will resolve this. Linda Kentes and Rob Shiff are pursuing two possible solutions and will report their findings to the board. A final decision will be made at the next board meeting on September 20, 2023.
We have several open positions in our Club Leadership and Operations. These include Foundation subcommittee chair, Environmental Action Group, Send Hunger Packing and Meeting Set-up. If you are interested in any of these positions, please contact President Mark Foster.
Our Golf and Pickleball Outing is gaining force, but we are still looking for Sponsorships and Club members to participate. As of this writing, we have the following tally:
- 76 signed up for golf (capacity 108-ish)
- 12 signed up for pickleball (capacity 40-ish)
- 89 signed up for dinner (plus the 88 above plus guests, capacity 275-ish)
