On the final day of the month of March, our club had 211 Active Members. Attendance for March’s meetings was 52% (up 8% from last month). The average attendance at each meeting was 113 members and 9 guests. Our Engagement Ratio for the month was 63% (up 4% from last month).
This month’s membership saw five terminations/changes of status, primarily due to non-payment of dues: Emily Conrady, Michael Barg, MaryAnn Pierce, Bob Pierce, and Cassie Rein. One member, Robert Northrup, was moved to Emeritus status due to health. We were pleased to induct three new members: David Auer, Alex Gossage, and Elena Millner. The board also approved three new potential members: Walker Barnes, Ella Dunajsky and Jennifer Richard.
Our club financial highlights include Foundation total assets of $3,085,227 and Club operating cash balance of $55,455.91. Hybrid meeting support contributions were $644.51, totaling $4,214.23 to date.
The board spent the majority of time reviewing the 2024-2025 draft club budget and discussing options. The following items were taken into consideration:
- Membership of 200, down from 229 used last year
- Actual dues revenue for FY’23-’24 about $81,000
- Budget Impact items – increases (Rotary International and District dues, International & large Club conference cost, Hybrid Meetings, Michigan Union Rental): increase of $64 per member
- Fixed Expenses make up about $442 per member
- In the 2023-24 year, Income and Expenses have been consistent with budget projections
- Hybrid meeting income year to date has covered the costs thus far, but we will realize additional expenses over the budget to finish the year.
To make our dues deadline by the end of June, the dues invoice will be sent out at the beginning of May. More information will be forthcoming.
