CAC Grant Application 2026

The Rotary Club of Ann Arbor’s Community Allocation Grant Program provides financial support to non-profit organizations that help kids succeed in Washtenaw County.

Target Population: children from infancy through age 18.

Grant Program Goals:

  1. Supporting children’s educational and social development.
  2. Helping children build skills necessary for future success.
  3. Providing support services for at-risk children.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Only community organizations with 501(c)(3) status that provide services in Washtenaw County are eligible for funding. Public schools and religious organizations are not eligible to apply.
  • Organizations may submit 1 (one) application per year.
  • Agencies that received funding from the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor in 2024 and 2025 are not eligible for funding this year, but may reapply in 2027.
  • Fundraising events will not be funded.

Applications will be evaluated according to the following 5 (five) criteria:

  1. How well does the proposal address the Rotary Grant Program goals listed above?
  2. How well does the project align with your organization’s mission and goals?
  3. To what extent will those served and the broader community benefit from this program?
  4. Is the project designed for success, with adequate planning, staffing, Board involvement, use of volunteers, and affiliations?
  5. What resources (funding, equipment, etc.) does your organization contribute to the proposed project?

Applications must include the following 5 (five) components in order to be reviewed:

  1. Proposal application (form below)
  2. Project grant budget (use this template)
  3. The organization’s annual budget (1-page)
  4. List of current Board of Directors (1 page)
  5. Copy of your 501(c)(3) determination letter

The application window opens yearly around the first week of January. Decisions on grants, limited to $5,000 for projects, or $3,000 for scholarships are sent to applicants by the end of April. The 2026 cycle window closed on February 27th. Come back to this website next year to apply.
