Our 2026-2027 President-elect Roy More attended the Rotary Large Club Conference (LCC) in Dallas during the week of October 21. The LCC is an annual gathering of Presidents-elects and senior staffers from about 50 of the largest Rotary Clubs in the US and Canada. The purpose of the gathering is to share information and address the challenges and opportunities associated with being clubs that are have many times the 30 or so members in the average club.
Roy was interested in the size of the largest clubs in Michigan. Here are some results from My Rotary:
Muskegon 254
Grand Rapids 206
Ann Arbor 201
Traverse City 181
Midland 175
Lansing 150
Kalamazoo 111
Note: These data are a month or two old. I don’t think there are any other clubs in Michigan bigger than Kalamazoo. Among nearby big-city clubs, Detroit is at 84 while Toledo is still a very large one at 374.
