Summary of October 15, 2025 Board of Directors Meeting

On the final day of the month our club had 200 Active Members, according to ClubRunner statistics. Attendance for September’s meetings was 34% (up 1% from last month). Average attendance at each meeting was 69 members and 6 guests. Our Engagement Ratio for the month was 55% (same as last month).

Membership Updates

The following membership status changes occurred in September 2025:

Terminations: 4

  • Erik Serr – Non-payment of club dues
  • Henry Johnson – Health
  • Valentine Ezeani – Non-payment of club dues
  • Agnes Reading – Deceased

Treasury Update

Our club financial highlights include Foundation total assets of $3,624,799.28 and Club operating cash balance of is $99,370.87. Figures from GPO proceeds are still in development.

The Foundation received two memorial donations for a total of $275 in memory of Wayne Colquitt.

District Grant of $15,145 received for the following:

  • Ghana: Equipment for clinic: $ 1,280.00
  • Guatemala: $ 2,133.00
  • Haiti-Malnutrition Follow-up Program: $ 2,133.00
  • Kenya-Surgical Camp in Homa Bay County:  $ 2,133.00
  • Mexico-Museum Project: $ 1,280.00
  • Send Hunger Packing: $ 2,133.00
  • Uganda-Fortress Mental Health and Child Care Project: $ 1,280.00
  • Uganda-Tysion Family Hospital:  $ 1,280.00
  • Volunteer Income Tax Assistance:  $ 1,493.00

Nomination of 2026-2027 Officers

  • The Nominating Committee, led by Immediate Past President Joyce, has been working on completing the board nominations for the 2026-2027 slate of officers. The new slate will be announced at our October 29th weekly meeting. A final vote from membership will take place during our annual meeting on December 5th.
  • The Nominating committee consists of: Joyce Hunter, Dawn Johnson, Roy More, Mark Foster, Joanne Pierson.

Update of Bylaws

  • The board discussed a number of updates to the RCAA and AARF Bylaws. All updates have been approved by the board, and a final draft of the amended bylaws is being prepared.
  • The proposed amendments will be presented to membership at the October 29th weekly meeting. A final vote from membership will take place during our annual meeting on December 5th.

Additional Discussions

  • Storage of the Club flag banners was approved for storage at the Kiwanis site supporting the current process of digitizing flags and rotating their presentation on the screen in the Anderson room prior to meetings. This process will be highlighted from the podium on occasion and can also be shared in the newsletter and other formats.
  • President will work on a project lead and committee for annual survey – establishing a timeline for early 2026.
