Though our Rotary Fights Child Hunger campaign was originally to end on April 6th, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, need in our community remains high. We have now EXTENDED this campaign so that you can continue to make contributions to this drive that we have in partnership with Food Gatherers. Both you and our club will continue to receive credit for donations made here. 

Agency partners are telling Food Gatherers that they are experiencing a 30%-300% increase in demand, and that they are serving individuals who have never used a food pantry before. And Food Gatherers have informed their donors that April and May saw record distributions of more than 700,000 pounds of food per month in Washtenaw County! Food Gatherers is an important part of the community safety net, and they are open and distributing food throughout the county. The funds raised through Rotary will support them in meeting the immediate need and the longer term impact on food security in our community as the economy recovers.
