See below a note from Rotary International’s president Shekhar Mehta, noting that our club received the Rotary Citation for the 2021-2022 year.
To: 2021-22 club presidents
Dear 2021-22 Club President,
Congratulations! Your club has earned the Rotary Citation, the most significant award a Rotary club can achieve, for 2021-22. This past year, your club demonstrated a commitment to achieve its goals, which ultimately helps strengthen Rotary and shape our future.
Please find your Rotary Citation [here]. I encourage you to display it proudly to celebrate your club’s achievement.
Once again, congratulations on a successful year as club president!
Sincerely,
Shekhar Mehta
2021-22 RI President
Not every club gets this recognition — only about half do. In order to qualify for a Rotary Citation, the club first has to review the list of 25 types of goals in Rotary Club Central. Categories include Members & Engagement, Rotary Foundation Giving, Service, Young Leaders, and Public Image. At least half must be chosen and targets set for each. Finally, at least 13 of them must be accomplished and reported by the end of the Rotary year. We selected 16 and met 13.
Congratulations to our club leaders and members that helped us meet these goals during the 2021-2022 year!
