The University of Michigan Natural History Museum provided an enriching educational space for our new members to meet, mingle and get inspired about being Rotarians!  We enjoyed a docent-led tour that included a journey through four billion years of life on earth, a tour of Michigan’s geological history and coming face-to-face with Australopithecus sediba, a life-size sculptural reconstruction of our extinct human relative that lived in southern Africa about 2 million years ago.  Attendees included Membership Committee members (Marlena Studer, John White, Sal Barbatano, Kate VanHorn and Fanfan Zheng), IHPC Chair Mary Avrakotos, our new Administrative/Financial Manager Emily Olson and new members Edwin Portugal, Larry Marentette, Ray Kelley, Sofia Nordenstam, Tori Price and Sue Shink and guests James Barbatano and Cheryl Marentette.
