Kit-Bags for Veterans

Do you remember the World War I marching song, “Pack up your troubles in your old kit-bag; And smile, smile, smile”?

You have an opportunity to donate to a veteran’s kit-bag! Our Veterans Initiative is collecting Chap Stick and Kleenex packets for veterans hospitalized at the VA Ann Arbor. The personal hygiene kits will be distributed at the hospital during the holidays. Please consider purchasing fragrant free Chap Stick and tissue packets the next time you are at the store. If you weren’t able to drop them off at the November 8th Rotary get together at Gallup Park, then contact Don Deatrick on details of how to make your donation: ddeatrick@live.com

And. . .just in case you want to sing, here are the lyrics to the chorus:
Pack up your troubles in your old kit-bag
And smile, smile, smile,
While you’ve a lucifer to light your fag,
Smile, boys, that’s the style.
What’s the use of worrying?
It never was worth while
So pack up your troubles in your old kit-bag
And smile, smile, smile.
