Sue Gott is the Associate Director for Planning and Communication in U-M’s Architecture, Engineering, Construction Department. Her short title is “University Planner.”
She has spoken to us many times over the years and will again be bringing us up to date on what the University is doing in its many building projects in Ann Arbor.
Sue Gott has served as the University of Michigan university planner since September 2002. She is responsible for guiding planning and development of the U-M campuses. She oversees planning projects including buildings, parking structures, utilities, roads, open spaces, and plazas. Gott also ensures a coordinated approach to physical planning and design on campus in respect to site planning and design. She serves as an important link with the community to coordinate U-M projects with community planning initiatives.
Sue is a U-M alumna, a former lecturer at the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning and former local planning consultant. But most importantly to Sue, she is a proud third generation Ann Arborite and the daughter of beloved passed Rotarian—Tom Dickinson.
