Then join us at Hire MI Vet, 5th Annual Hiring Event, Tuesday November 5, 2019, Washtenaw Community College, 9:30 AM -12:00 PM and be an Ambassador. You will Meet and Greet veterans and will help the veteran evaluate the resume, matching their background and skills to the jobs offered by the available employers. The next step, you will go with the veteran to the employers until the veteran feels comfortable talking with the employers.  You may provide them with a brief tutorial on Interviewing Skills if you feel comfortable doing this activity.

A short training session, October 30, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, at Weber’s (in the Director’s Room) is planned for the Hiring Event and it is highly recommended you attend the training to gain an understanding of many nuances involved. A notice of the training session will appear in the Harpoon starting in September 2019.
