The GRAMMY Award-winning Pioneer High School Jazz Band will perform for us at this meeting. The Jazz Band program provides students with opportunities to explore America’s original art form through diverse repertoire and performance opportunities. The Pioneer Jazz Band has earned top honors at festivals and featured performances across North America and Europe.

Elliot Polot has been Director of Bands at Ann Arbor Pioneer High School since 2024, where he directs the Symphony, Concert Purple, Concert White, Varsity, and Jazz Bands. Mr. Polot is a proud alumnus of Pioneer High School, where he played in the Symphony Band and Jazz Band, and served as the Drum Major.
