Linda Eastman, co-founder and  president of Casa Calibri, is our 2025 Robert S. Northrop Award winner. Sh is eager to tell her story of how she came to learn Spanish and how that has taken her through extraordinary times and places.

Throughout her odyssey, Rotary has been an ever-present thread, winding through twists and turns on the journey. With her husband, Jay, she has worked in remote areas in Guatemala, bringing medical services, education, sanitation, and clean water to an area that has been severely underserved by the government. What started as a short-term medical mission has expanded to what is now a thriving nonprofit organization with ongoing programs serving thousands of people in need.
