On a beautiful Saturday morning (March 24, 2018), over twenty Rotarians, along with some family members, braved early chilly temperatures for our first work day at the Tiny Homes Community in Detroit. The project was to clear brush, construction debris and garbage from a site that will be the next phase of Tiny Home construction. Nothing fancy here, as the work was manual and difficult but also rewarding. There was a clear sense of camaraderie, teamwork and a good feeling that what was accomplished will make a difference for the community. Please note the “before” and “after” photos with numerous pick-up truck (thank you Paul Smith!) and mini-van loads taken from the site for disposal. Also please note that the group photo is taken in front of the home designed by our own Ed Weir!
Sincere and heartfelt thanks to all that participated!
