The Membership Committee presented the nominations of Heather Eckner, Julie Picknell and Kate VanHorn as New Members Elect. They were unanimously and enthusiastically approved by the Board.

The Operating Fund Balance on October 31 was $39,410. The Club’s Endowment Investment market value was $$2,340,397, a .01% decrease from September 31.

President Joanne announced that we allocated proceeds from our extremely successful Paesano’s Dining Event and Online Auction equal $29,200. It was proposed and approved by the Board to allocate $22,800 of these funds so that each of the four areas of grant giving, Community Allocations, International Humanitarian Projects, Scholarships and STRIVE will receive 80% of last fiscal year’s budget. The remaining $6400 will be saved until late winter/spring until it can be determined where the need is greatest. More good news – you can still bid on multiple item selections, just go to

The Membership Committee has announced that a New Member Processing Procedure has been approved. The new procedure will streamline the process of nominating, seeking approval of nomination, and completing required paperwork and financial obligations. The new change is that prospective members will be oriented and inducted monthly. It is proposed that induction occur the first meeting of the month as needed. New members will be grouped as the Fall Class and Spring Class but inducted more frequently. With ZOOM meetings, it is important to induct nominees more frequently so they can become fully engaged in the RCAA activities and committees.

Rotary Readers and Tutors needs volunteers! One of our club’s largest and longest running Service Above Self programs is beginning again. It is a delayed start this year as teachers have worked to come to terms with new curricula, virtual classrooms, and how to best use tutors in the virtual environment. The need for your help is greater than in past years. Please consider becoming a Rotary Reader now and contact Jim Egerdal at

The Veteran’s Initiative is still collecting pocket combs, medium-sized plain gift bags, and puzzle books for veterans. Contact Don Deatrick at for drop-off information.

Reminder there will be no weekly meeting on November 25 because of the Thanksgiving holiday. The Board wishes all members and their families a safe and healthy Thanksgiving
