Rotarian Bob Buchanan Selected for United Way’s: The Spirit of Washtenaw County Award!!

Amanda Reel, Community Impact & Volunteer Center Manager of theUnited Way of Washtenaw County: I’m writing to let you know that Rotarian Bob Buchanan has been selected to receive an award from the United Way of Washtenaw County at our Annual Meeting & Volunteer Recognition event!  The SPIRIT of Washtenaw County Award serves to recognize individuals or organizations who demonstrate a generosity of spirit; he/she truly cares for others. Is aware of his/her public responsibility and inspires others to give, advocate and volunteer.

As you may know, Bob Buchanan has been a volunteer for our VITA program for several years, and his additional work to create new training for our greeters this year has been instrumental in improving the operations of the program and the experience of our clients!
I’m sharing because we’re so grateful for all that the Rotary club has done to support our VITA Program and all of those Rotarians that donate their time to this program, in large part to Bob Mull’s (honored as Volunteer of the Year in 2017!) promotion and advocacy for this work.
The award ceremony is at our Annual Meeting & Volunteer Recognition Event on Wednesday, April 17, 11am-12:30 at the WCC Morris Lawrence building.
