Reverse Global Grant for Pandemic Relief in Detroit

With the increase in COVID 19 infections in the population since last June, the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor has been working on a Reverse Global Grant from Rotary International.
The Rotary Club of Ann Arbor North (RCAAN), along with RCAA, is leading a group of 12 Rotary Clubs from India, Uganda and Southeast Michigan on a Rotary International Foundation-matched Global Grant (GG #2014854) award titled “Pandemic Relief for Detroit Project.”
Our primary objective is to provide humanitarian relief in the form of (i) material aid to local hospitals, nursing homes and underserved populations by supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to stop the spread of COVID-19 infection, and (ii) food-bank assistance in the hardest hit areas around Detroit and neighboring communities.
We are pleased to inform you the Rotary Foundation Grant is received and we are ready for the implementation of this Grant.
The Grant was granted with an amount totaling $71,069.00.
Working on the grant locally is: Rotarians Ashish Sarkar and Jason Whipple (RCAA)
Rotarian Diane Sheffrey, Rotarians Eric Tindall and Manish Mehta (RCAAN)
