RCAA Satellite’s First Meeting a Great Success!

To cater to those in the community who may not be able to attend the normal Wednesday luncheon meetings, who may crave a more informal environment, or who may want to focus on projects a smaller group can conquer, we have started the Ann Arbor Rotary Club Satellite. We meet every other Tuesday evening, and this past week on July 16th we hosted our first meeting at Arbor Brewing Company.

The fun and fellowship of Rotary were most prevalent at this meeting! Around 20 attendees poured into the room, including community members interested in learning more about Rotary, current Rotarians (from Ann Arbor and Midland), and District leaders. Drinks, food, and conversation were shared with great excitement, Rotarians effortlessly bringing the guests into the group. Rather than giving a formal presentation, the veteran Rotarians of the group were asked to share the passion for Rotary and the projects they have been involved in with the guests, and their enthusiasm was palpable.

Our next meeting on Tuesday, July 30th, 6-7:30pm will again be at Arbor Brewing Company. Discussion will focus on the service projects that RCAA participates in. Join us for fun, fellowship, and service!
